Where your athlete's race times live, how personal bests work, and when results appear

Last updated 6/17/2026

Every race your athlete swims lands under their Results — the meet, the official time, their place, and their splits. It's the full record of their season and the easiest way to follow their progress between meets.

How personal bests work

Your athlete's fastest swim in an event is their personal best (PB), and CoachBrighter tracks a separate PB for each course, because the pools aren't comparable:

  • SCY — a 25-yard pool
  • SCM — a 25-meter pool
  • LCM — a 50-meter pool

So your athlete can hold three different bests in the 100 free at once — one per course. That's expected, not a glitch.

Reading the markers

Each swim is tagged so you can see at a glance how it went:

  • PB — their fastest ever in that event and course
  • Time drop — faster than their previous best (the one to celebrate)
  • Add — slower than the seed time they went in with

Filter by event to watch one race trend over a season, and expand a distance swim to see their splits — the pace at each 50 or 100.

When new results show up

Results appear once the coach imports the official file, usually the same day or a day or two after the meet. If a swim is missing longer than that, the coach controls when results are imported — check with them.
