Tell your coach your event preferences

Flag the events you want to swim — and the ones to avoid — to inform meet lineups

Last updated 6/17/2026

Your coach decides meet lineups, but they can't read your mind. The Event Preferences section on your profile is where you tell them which events you want more chances to race — and which to keep you out of. It's the one piece of lineup input that's yours to set.

Two lists

  • Preferred events — the races you enjoy or want to swim more often.
  • Events to avoid — races you'd rather not be entered in, whether it's a stroke you're working through an injury on or just not your thing.

Your coach sees both when they build entries. Team needs sometimes win out, but your input makes their decisions better-informed.

Keep it current

Update your preferences whenever your goals shift — a new season, a new event you want to try, an injury that's healed. The lists are yours to change any time, and the coach sees the latest version when they next set a lineup.
