Build your team records board
Build leaderboards of your team's fastest times and add historical records
Team Records ranks the fastest times your team has ever swum for every event, #1 on down — a way to celebrate top performers, recognize record holders, and give your athletes a time to chase. It's included on some subscription levels; if Records isn't in your sidebar, it isn't part of your current plan.
Individual and relay boards
Tabs switch between Individual records (top times for each stroke and distance) and Relay records (the fastest relays, with each team's swimmers shown). A relay's lead-off split — the touch-pad-timed first leg — also counts toward individual records, so a fast opening leg can land a swimmer on the individual board.
Course, depth, and filters
Each course (SCY, SCM, LCM) ranks on its own, because times aren't comparable across pools. To rank every course together, turn on Include converted times — swims from other courses are converted using your team's conversion factors and flagged Conv. Beyond that, the controls just narrow what you're looking at: how many swims per event to show, and filters for stroke, distance, gender, date range, and group (age group on club teams, division on high school teams).
Where records come from
The board is built automatically from one pool of times — your imported meet results, relay lead-off splits, and any manual records you add. Click a record to open its source meet, or open a swimmer to see their full history.
Add a historical record
For bests swum before you started using CoachBrighter, add them by hand with Add Record: choose individual or relay, pick the athlete (or create one inline), and enter the event, course, time, and date. The time ranks alongside imported results immediately. You can edit or delete records you added manually — but times pulled from meet or tryout results aren't editable here; correct those at the source by re-importing the results file.
Troubleshooting
Records is missing from the sidebar — it's included on some subscription levels; check your plan under Settings or contact us to enable it.
A time looks wrong — manual records can be edited or deleted; imported times must be fixed by re-importing the results.
An athlete isn't appearing — confirm their results were imported and that your filters (group, date range, course) aren't excluding them.
